The bouquets.

So, I'm thinking these for the brown part for my bouquet. I'll add more photos later.

apple butter...yummy

So, I've been thinking wedding favors. I want something cute, different, and cheap. So, here are some things I've been thinking about, since it is in the fall.

• Apple Butter. I can can them, stick a label and add some ribbon??
• Caramel Apples (it will be halloween theme at Disney for our wedding)
• maple syrup
• pumpkins--mini
• flower bulbs with a painted pot to match
• Bookmarks

Let's see. For the apple butter, I'd probably be able to do it for under 200. I'm not quite sure. I would need to practice, as not to poison people. For about 75 people that's not too bad, but alot of work. I could probably take a month to prepare everything...since I am canning.

Caramel apples might be a little too expensive...7 dollars/person.

Maple Syrup, is a little pricey too..we'll have to see about that one as well. I could buy small bottles and fill them with bulk syrup. Here for the jars.

pumpkins would clash my blue and brown theme.

The bulb thing sounds cute. I'll have to research it.

Paul and I are reading fools. This might work, have to see what I could do and for how much.

Bookmarkers...I bet I could do a mickey on it...this could actually work??

I'm really thinking maple syrup, it just occured to me that we're having a brunch, how cute would that be??

Two years and counting.

So this is the situation.

My gentleman friend and I have two children. Currently a 21mos old and a two year old. We've been together for several years, have a house, a car, and two kids. We've finally decided to "do it". This is the catch...we're broker than broke. So what do we decide?? Have a DISNEY WEDDING!!! Suze Orman would be shaking her fist at us.

At this point, we've been through so much and we're so tired, we're like "what the hell"! Okay, so it won't be bad when we are done with the wedding. Currently I'm not really working, really. I work to pay for my son's therapy. We both agree that we need it....we need this. It's a gift to ourselves and our family.

So, let's go balls to the wall and do this thing. I guess I'll use this blog for planning, thinking, and most importantly...how the hell are we going to come up with 30,000 dollars for this freaking wedding.

I'm actually hoping for it to be less than that...but uh, I figure, incidentals....just in case.

So wish me luck....Disney October 2011...here we come!!
